Mothering Sunday

No lovely lie in or breakfast in bed.

The combination of MrRoly's hangover, a cat with a 9.40am vet appointment due to a burst abscess, British Summer Time and church parade led to absolute chaos. But we all got to where we needed to be.

Home to be showered with home made tat gifts from Lily and Red then a bit of beach prep before a lovely lunch at Pizza Express. The children were a pleasure to take out, not a screen in sight - just Uno, a colouring book and 2 dinosaurs!

The highlight of the day was heading to Maenporth to road test the kayaks. It was not overly warm. MrRoly forgot the paddles but while we were waiting, the local fire engine turned up so the children dragged me over to chat with the firemen...
