Redwood trees

This stand of redwoods is magnificent. Apparently they are still only half of their full size. Did you see R at the bottom for scale?
They are by springs with beautiful clear fresh water pouring out. Pity the surrounding waters are not so clean. We wanted a swim but the lake smelt of water fowls. There were hundreds of them. Further along the adjoining lake has dangerous blue green algae so that was out. Ended up in the spa pool.
Yesterday we swam in the lovely Blue Lake but watched three 'amphibious Duck buses' taking tourists going between Lake Rotorua, Blue Lake, and Green Lake. They drive into each one in turn. Really worries me that the stunning pristine Blue Lake will be spoilt and contaminated with either the toxic blue green algae or the ever spreading and clogging oxygen weed.(aquarium weed). Is the tourist dollar so valuable or will we kill the golden goose?
