Deal
After a lazy morning (recovering from the hour change) and a beach walk, we headed out to explore the little towns of Deal and Sandwich.
Deal has a fascinating history, with demure little rows of brick terraces, delicately painted in candy colours, hid their secret past as the lairs of smugglers, pickpockets, ladies of the night and the true underbelly of port life.
Sandwich, which amazingly had used to be a major port and is now robustly inland, was delightful too, with some stunning half timbered buildings. Beautiful.
