Promise

Last year, I was instructed to cruelly rip the flowers from my blueberry bushes. I dutifully did so.

I was told that if I did that, it would produce more fruit this year, instead of the copious leaves it was offering up.

This morning, I discovered that my destruction had paid off. The wee green buds had started to turn purple.

I have two bushes full of little berries now.

I'm very excited. =)
