Bell pull.

In 'the good old days' a bellpull would have a bell attached and those who had a maid or the like would use this to get attention. Sadly nobody jumps in with a cuppa when I shake mine. OK, I did not add a bell, perhaps that is the reason. Eva Rosenstand has designed many of these, all very beautiful.
