Let the holiday begin..

After a very long day yesterday and a long flight, plus transfer from Santiago to Valparaiso we eventually found our hotel, or rather, our taxi driver did. The last kilometre of the journey was quite hair raising. The hotel was nearly at the highest point in the city and the taxi driver had to negotiate some vey tight turns and steep hills. At one point the 4 of us got out of the taxi as it couldn't cope with 5 adults, and 6 suitcases up these steep roads.

When we did eventually get there the views over Valparaiso were quite spectacular, instead of these you have a photo of Rose, Roy and I (David taking the photo) starting our holiday as we mean to go on, food and booze!!!
