Again we did a taxi ride into the city centre, $30 for the 4 of us, instead of $40 each with the ships tour.

We asked the driver to drop us off in Plaza Mayor, it was then a short walk to the Cathedral and the Archbishops Palace, which were both spectacular. We then heard music, and on investigating we saw that the Changing of the Guard was taking place inside the courtyard of the Presidents Palace. However, unlike Buckingham Palace where you can stand by the railings, here you couldn't, hence the poor shot.

It was quite fascinating to watch, especially as the bandsmen and guards have a most peculiar ceremonial walk, very entertaining.
