Sunday!

It's been a bit of a wierd Sunday! Archie rewarded us with a humongous lie in this morning, not getting up 'til 9.40 a.m. Spent a lot of the day in the garden sorting the veg patch out, inbetween showers! We've put down slug pellets, don't know if I like to, but after having to destroy 4 cabbages, 2 Kohlrabi and having noted a couple of courgettes are looking the worse for ware I thought it was for the best! Bloody slugs, why do they always find my garden?

The rest of my time today has been spent packing Jade's case to go on her school holiday. She leaves tomorrow and comes home on Friday. She'll be going all of about 12km down the road, but it's still away for nearly a week for the first time, quite a big step for a 7 year old and is she upset about leaving her Mum and Dad and baby brother, is she hell, she can't wait!!

So, after having my gardening cap on and my holiday packing cap on, I put my blip cap on and blipped random things like you do, not being at all pleased with the suitcase or slug pellet shots I took earlier.... These are my Chinese Calligraphy Brushes which I have always loved, I even painted them once! Some were given to me by my Auntie some I bought when I lived in Hong Kong, some I bought when I back packed China! They hold a lot of sentiment for me for lots of different reasons but that's another story, maybe another time!
