Bb, his mum and I went to our friend Josep Tobella Soler's photographic exhibition tonight. Josep's the partner of Mila, one of our oldest and best Spanish friends. She was our first Spanish teacher way back in 1991 and we always say that she's to blame for all the mistakes we make in Spanish! Josep has been allowed a very privileged access to El Molino (think Spanish Moulin Rouge) theatre backstage for over 30 years and has had many exhibitions, including at MACBA (the Museum of a Contemporary Art in Barcelona). As always, we enjoyed the exhibition tonight. My mum-in-law admitted that she found some of the pieces a bit 'challenging', but very gamely for her years was open to exploring what to look for and enjoy in such pieces.
