Worms in the woodwork

I stumbled upon this old piece of furniture (a cheese chest) that looked well preserved but for some chips here and there when I suddenly spotted worm holes on the edge. Firstly though I have to say that I absolutely loathe worms and caterpillars so it was only with the photographic result in mind that I shot this picture!
