Simply the Best

One look from him and I was lost! Such a beautiful bird and lovely to see.

Having chased the red cardinals round Florida for the past 2 weeks I am really chuffed that on the last day I actually did get close enough to get a shot. Walking round the grounds of the hotel in Crystal River in the quiet of the morning and it has to be said looking a bit dubious with a long lens outside the windows, I was hoping for a fitting shot to finish our holiday.

This sums up what has been a marvellous and colourful stay here and I'm smiling now having at least got a close up. I feel very lucky!! He really is 'simply the best...better than all the rest' :)
