Swanage: locomotive 6695 - inside the driver's cab
This photo shows most of the levers, gauges and controls of the steam locomotive; a wide-angle lens would of course have shown more.
This is a small locomotive with a very small driver's cab, just large enough for a driver and fireman. The firebox doors are visible at the bottom.
The engine - which belongs to the Swanage Railway- was not running at the time, and I was given permission to enter the cab. And, in case you hadn't already realised, my railway expertise is almost non-existent.
