Sit Down.

Not in one of these you won't. They are three of the original theatre seats attached to the back wall of the original auditorium of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford Upon Avon.
The theatre was refurbished in 2010 and now has fewer seats but they are closer to the stage. These are a 'feature' in the upstairs restaurant. It is listed so they couldn't knock the whole thing down. Also it was the first big public building designed by a woman, so is of historical importance.
Generally you can go around Stratford taking photos of just about anything as we locals are used to it and are not easily surprised at the things people want to capture for posterity. However probably the RST wouldn't approve so I had to skulk around pretending to be texting. That's the beauty of an iPhone!
