This advert in our local mall confused pride and ignorance: pride that our country's trade is being promoted in this way and ignorance of the fact that such promotion is necessary.

As the sun set this evening the wind rose and thunder ricocheted around our compound I was reminded of our camping holidays in the high Pyrenees in mid July.
