Dances with midges

Boat

The Loch Shira - different island, a different ferry. I spend a lot of time on the Loch Dunvegan (well, actually very little time, as its crossing to Bute is about 5 minutes) but it is novel to travel on a different boat. She is the ferry to and from Cumbrae. You only buy a return ticket and you don't have to keep the stub. There's no other way on or off the island with a car! I had to go home a little early from Cumbrae for my midweek duties on Bute, so I ended up on three different ferry routes in the course of my journeying today!
