Calder view

Spotted this view of the river Calder while driving down the hill into Whalley this morning to meet my mum for lunch. So on the way back I pulled over and took a few shots, even though it had turned murky and was trying to rain.

We had hoped to go in the church this time as there are some interesting windows, but it was closed. However we did have a look at the Anglo Saxon crosses, before heading back to the café for tea and scones. Came home with a bootfull of snowdrops and a brass anchor door knocker - as you do!
