Romans
Mrs Mikey's class had a Roman Exhibition today. They have been working on this for most of the second half of term. Each group had an aspect of the topic to cover and present using models and information boards. The exhibits included an archaeological dig - where children had to find and record details of artefacts which they found; a 'poo group' which had made 'roman poo' with seeds inside to show how we know what the romans ate; they had cooked and prepared food from roman recipes and looked at the army and houses and homes and at the celts.
The rest of the children from the school had looked around and tried things out, while the class helped, supervised and answered questions and between two and three o'clock, parents were invited in and enjoyed their look around the exhibition.
Altogether, and excellent afternoon and a good conclusion to the topic.
I drove for the first time since my accident today. It went well, I just had a little flutter when it came to braking - there was a feeling of relief when the car actually slowed down, as the other car had accelerated when I pressed what I thought was the brake during the crash.
I'll go a bit further tomorrow and get into a bit more traffic. It will be good to get out further again, and start taking a wider range of pictures.
Caught and re-located mouse number six last night.
