Strawberry Tree.
Also known as the Cornus & Evergreen Dogwood. A native of the Himalaya's.
We planted these trees about 20 years ago, for the birds to enjoy the fruit, which they certainly do. I have tried numerous time to photograph the flowres too, but there is something that eats the petals and spoils the flowers.
Been a quiet day today, with PJ going off to do one trip, and then he drove into Picton to pick up his mate, who is a partner in the mussel farm with us. They are going to do some of the mussel farm work in the next couple of days.
I had a whole afternoon to myself - YEH!! and got a big clean up in the office done. All those piles of paper, finally got sorted out. Most of those jobs that only take about 3 minutes to do, but just getting put aside, finally got done.
It is a good feeling to have that all sorted.
It has been so calm here today, and this evening, the view from the window is almost tempting to blip - flat, calm silver sea, dark hills and a weird milky blue, pinkish sky.
