A Staple in British Culture

Apparently not! There's loads of Fish & Chips shops about and they've got it on a lot of their restaurant menus. So what do we have left?

It was Grace's younger sister, Eleanor's birthday and I was courteously invited to celebrate with her family. We went to a 'hotel' (they call their pubs, 'hotels' weirdos...) called the Mellow. It was recommended that I try the Mellow Burger because its "just amazing" turns out I couldn't have it as they already have the burgers premade with egg in them! Alas! So I tried the Fish & Chips ready to be snobby and claim they can't be as good as good ol England. Turns out it wasn't too bad. A bigger fish instead of two small bits would have been nice but who can complain.

They seem to have Steak Nights, so next time that'll be one to order.
