Annewokingham & her Dad

Whilst visiting relatives in Scotland, we took the ferry over to Arran to visit Anne's Dad. We left the car at Ardrossan and went as foot passengers, hiring a car at Brodick for the day. (By the way I can recommend the bacon & egg roll on the ferry).
He is now lives at a care home in Whiting Bay. When we arrived there he was waiting at reception with his jacket and cap on, waiting to go out with us. However, we thought we ought to have a look at his accomodation first, which seemed spacious and clean and has a sea view. We then went for a walk along the sea front, which is where I took this photograph.
Later we went for a meal at Lamlash, then on to Corrie for tea. His mood throughout the day was upbeat and jovial.
Finally back to the 4.40 ferry and then a charge down the motorway to get to the hotel in Penrith, before 9pm, when they stop serving dinner. We made it by 8.20.
And..............relax!
