Waiting for the tide

I wandered down to the Fisher Fleet, low tide and The Boy Neil high and dry on the mud with lots of gulls suddenly taking off as I approached, very probably camera-shy!

If you do notice the running water in the channel at the lower edge of the photo, it's unnatural, what they do is open the sluice gates higher up to clear out silt at the edge of the dock. Today this was between 14.00 and 16.00 hrs and notices warn people of this event which happens about once a week.
