Back to school!

The U3A have started a group called 'Maths for Fun' and I went along to my first meeting today.
The subject today was algebra and we drew roofs and played around with plastic interlocking 'bits'
We then worked on some problems! We were shown a different method to the one I was taught at school and I found it confusing to start with, along with another member of the group. Turned out we went to the same school with only a year difference!
Have now got some homework to practice the new method.
It was a lot of fun and I will be going again in two weeks time.
