Opposites
Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario
This morning I had coffee with one of my oldest friends, Annette. I met Nettie when I worked at the HBC Queen Street, she was the Tommy Hilfiger and I was the Visual Display person on the upscale fashion floor. We are totally opposite to the way we think, the way we talk and the way we look. She 6 ft, blonde, and dresses All America (she still looks the same), and I on the other hand was and am 5ft 5', at the time was Goth, I had purple hair, wore black and army boots (still wear all black and the army boots but now have black hair).
Today her ten year son, Marshall came out. Marshall is home schooled due to he can't seem to control his anger. As I catching up with him he expressed some interest in art and the graffiti around where he lives (they live on Queen Street West), in particular ones that represent hand grenades. I told him that I know the artist and maybe I could arrange a meeting.
When we got back to their apartment, Marshall ran to his room to get his sketch book to show me all his drawings. I must say he is awesome for a ten year old. I was telling Marshall about my adventures in Graffiti Alley and I how enjoy taking people of the streets of Toronto. He asked if he could come out with me sometime, I looked at his dad and said, I have another camera and would love to show Marshall how to see the streets in a different way. Lets just say Marshall light up and said Please...... to his dad.
I guess I will be having a little sidekick on my Alley Adventures
