What are you doing to me ?
Baxter is wondering what’s happening to him. From time to time he suffers with sore pads on his front feet and once they are sore, he, like most dogs, exacerbates the problem by constantly licking his sore paw. He then dances around on three paws looking for sympathy. Unfortunately our driveway is composed of sharp gravel so that does not help. Usually the paw clears up after a day or so when it’s treated with cream. When he’s out on a long walk or off the lead, he ignores the problem and runs away to his heart’s content, the sore paw apparently forgotten. However, if the problem persists we have these little leather shoes for him that obviously reduce the rubbing on the pad when he is out. He is a little wary at first and waves his paw around but soon settles to walking normally with shoe, even if he looks a little odd and the sound of the shoe on the pavement is very different.
