Coroner report filed, I return up the M1 to do the rounds. Undertaker, corner, registry office, minister.

I find a little bit of peace and quiet in an unlikely spot at the back of Donnington Park Services. I took lots of pictures of the bullrushes, some just pretty, others that looked like charcoal drawings others like pieces of sculpture.

I took a detour into Derby as one of my brakelights had failed, spotted "half a Saab" in the carpark which made me smile. The mechanic kindly replaced the light immediately and only charged me £2 for the job. Good karma.

Back in Macclesfield mum and I went through the list of people to tell about the funeral. It should be a good turn out.
