9 December 2009 "Budget Day"
Mum's bit:
To my little Finnzy-Bob. We are delighted you came into our lives and I can't believe you're with us a year today. Love. Your Mama
Dad's bit:
Ditto Mum. Your Dada
(but in fairness, I'm the one who assembled the walker and wooden cubes)
You're a great little chap Finnzy. You look a lot different than this time last year. You've made so much progress lately. Thank you for your first birthday present: you slept through the night for the first time last night. As a reward, we bought a lock for the fridge. Parents can be very unfair, you'll see.
We may have been tempted to put you on eBay on a couple of occasions, when the reflux was at its worse and there was vomit everywhere and no more bedclothes or pyjamas and the sleep deprivation was almost unbearable. But the feeling always vanished within 15 seconds, when your smile lightened everything instantly.
You are a great little chap, always happy with your lot.
And that's a good thing. Because this is it. It's your lot.
