To Be Handy

This rather old fashioned decorative over mantle type mirror has languished in our garage for some years.

I thought it was time to give it a fettle up and bring it back in to use. It is destined for a re-decorated bedroom.

There is a school of thought that old furniture should really not be painted. However a close examination of this piece revealed that it had not been constructed by a cabinet maker and so I did not feel guilty about it.

So three coats of white paint later I can now sit and watch it dry...
