Woman with oil
Finally completed the monochrome study started in March (icon diploma session).
Quite a few errors when compared with the original: placement and shape of her right arm and some of the folds don't 'make sense'.
Manuel Panselinos (who painted the original fresco) was divinely inspired - his faces are some of the most soulful I have ever seen - which is what every iconographer aspires to.
