What a night!
Tonight we went to see Richard III, a play presented by our university.
My friend Karen was coming to pick me up and then we were going to meet up with another friend of mine Tahnee (who I've mentioned before) in Ghent.
When we got to Ghent we had to find a parking space, which is kind of impossible . And since Karen had never really parked in an undergroud parking lot before that wasn't really an option.
After a few minutes we thought we had found one, up until a group of people (not the police but people from the community of Ghent I suppose) warned us that we parked in a parking zone for inhabitants. We had no other choice but to go look somewhere else. We had been driving around for about half an hour when Tahnee and I decided to go look for a parking space by foot. Unfortunately we couldn't find one... Karen met up with us and we hopped back into the car. We were barely in the car when she said she was going to park underground. She was determined but still scared because she'd never done it before and it can be tricky sometimes. As you can see on my picture we made it through alive (with loads of yelling and OOOOH and AAAH-ing). We were so thrilled that we had finally found a parking space and could finally start walking towards the play that we decided it to take a picture of our excitement.
The play turned out great! I was really surprised that it was THAT good (not that I didn't expect it to be good, but is was even better than I imagined it would be).
The night started off a bit rocky but in the end we had a great time.
And we made it out of the parking lot so: YAY Karen!
Question of the day: What famous person would you bring back from the dead to have dinner with? (tough one!!)
