The Cat and the....Flag

Today was yet another boring day of cleaning the house. I was attempting to take a photo of this flag. It's over twenty years old and once flew over the Capitol building in Washington D.C. Figured this would be a good picture seeing as Independence Day is just a few days away. However my cat decided to lay on it just as I was about to snap a picture. I also managed to catch her mid-yawn just as she plopped down, thus the reason why her tongue is hanging out. Or she might be just sticking it out at me as if to say..."haha messed up your picture"...hard to tell.
Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. It seems cats have never forgotten this.
