They don't provide napkins!

When a pair of Goldfinch sit together it is possible to identify the male, however this is not the case for me when one appears. After reading some information about their markings the male has more red behind the eye. Is this a female?

The chaffinches are happy to eat from the Nyjer seed feeder, although maybe they are tidying up the seed from the tray rather than taking it from the tiny hole. It's good to see them together. The Siskins are not this obliging and tend to see off any other bird but their own.

I don't think these two are having a tiff, a couple of shots earlier they had a good old natter, It's good to see the seeds dropping from the beak. We have spotted 7 all at once, and hope the 8th was close by.
