Great tit
Another wet day at the fishing. There's a nut feeder by the hut and I've been enjoying watching the visitors at lunchtime. The Great Tit seems the boldest of the bunch and the tiny coal tit the most timid. On the river there's just not the variety and numbers of birds we used to see. One of the local farmers was blaming the buzzards. Who knows? Certainly there are no lapwings in the fields that used to be full of them. Thank you to those who have commented this week. I'll try to get back to commenting more next week when I get the chance. Blipping time is rationed just now, a quick change and out again for a meal.
If you're in this area and enjoy good food, The Apron Stage in Stanley is well worth a visit. It's a tiny restaurant so you need to book.
