Village potter

Werrived at the small town of Nimaj in Rajastahn with a coouple of hours to spare before our evening meal so the 6 of us on our tour organised a jeep safari, provided by the hotel. Before we rose into the semi-desert scrublands (where my sights were set) they took us to a small village where the villagers let us look round their houses (obviously we were expected to buy a trinket or two in return). This potter mixed and kneaded some clay and proceeded to set his wheel spinning and fashion three small pots. Brilliant to watch sand, mud and manure turning into finished articles before our eyes.
