from our house we would be at the Mount Rose Ski Area which is to the left. You can see (in Large!) the runs, larger ones on the East slope and very steep ones on the North slope, which is on the right side of the left mountain in the picture. The higher mountain is Mount Rose and is not a ski area.
Fresh snow of the last little storm makes the mountains shine in the sun! Next week it is going to be warm, in the mid seventies and this glory will disappear rapidly...

By the way, I am standing on land that belongs to the Reno International (ha ha) Airport in the main direction of the runways. That is the reason why you see so many stumps in the foreground. The runways will be longer in the future...
