Greetings from beautiful Cape Town, South Africa. I hope you like this Andy Warhol style postcard. You probably recognize the smiley face as that of Nelson Mandela, an iconic figure in South Africa who passed away last year. An anti-apartheid revolutionary, he spent 27 years in prison before becoming South Africa's first black president in 1994. Here in South Africa, we like to refer to ourselves as a 'rainbow nation' because we are such a big mix of races and cultures, part of the reason why living here is so interesting (challenging too, but always interesting!)
