Quarantined
I received a small parcel from England today.......complete with special sticker from MAF (Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries) which reads:
"Officially opened by MAF Biosecurity New Zealand pursuant to the Biosecurity Act 1993"
The letter MAF had kindly placed inside the parcel for me told me that some 'plant material' on the card required some heat treatment. I could either:
- have the item heat treated by the Quarantine Treatment Centre ($19) or by Rentokil ($45)
- have the offending item returned to England ($76.50)
- have it destroyed (free!)
Hmmmm.....what do you think I should do dad?!?!
