End of term!

This is the gang looking at a duck in the pond, I love that they're all engaged in nature!

Felt very sorry for myself this morning, I think it had something to do with being pretzeled by the gym trainer yesterday. He did this thing at the end of the session stretching all sorts of muscles. It made me giggle a lot and wonder aloud if he knew that all he was doing was squashing fat?! It may also have something to do with the vast quantities of Chablis consumed last night though. I really didn't want to waste the day feeling jaded so had a good dog walk with Helen which chased away some cobwebs. Then I decided to have a half an hour jacuzzi at the gym, totally indulgent but absolutely the best medicine. It's a rooftop jacuzzi so great for people watching. I was a new woman with wrinkley fingers and toes!

The girls finished school at midday and then we met our friends for a roam with the dogs. Nic and I walked round the conservation area and the girls roamed over every inch of it thoroughly happy. We were waiting for one of our school friends who we haven't seen in about 9 years to arrive from Scotland. Her timekeeping is worse than mine so her 1.45 arrival ended up being 4 ish. We went to Nics for a cuppa catch up. It was fab to see Katy and her baby. I have really great school friends and I feel lucky for that.

We left about 6.15 and raced home to meet mum, dad, Tan, Aunty Pam and Uncle Malvin at the restaurant, all changed and with a things to do bag we arrived 25 mins later for a Lebanese feast. Just before I went to sleep I received the news I'd been waiting on all day that my friends op had gone well. Best nights sleep this week.
