Mayfair Life #6 AWD's

No it's not the queue for the Next or Gucci sales but an overspill of AWD's or after work drinkers on Friday night in Mayfair. Pretty much every pub in London looks like this on a Friday night in Spring/Summer. Pubs are full to capacity or perhaps we just get all continental and want to consume in the street. Unlike Paris and Spain though our streets are so narrow we can touch the cars as they pass by. I think this surprises tourists who wonder why we want to eat and drink by the roadside. It reminds me of growing up in the 80's when you'd see older couples picnicking, sat in deck chairs by the side of a dual carriageway. What was that all about?
