Go Nets

Brooklyn Nets v Detroit Pistons @ Barclays Centre, Brooklyn

As we all know Americans are incredibly patriotic. At sports events this is particularly evident with the national anthem at the start of the game. As the entire stadium fell silent and raised a hand to their chest, it fell to a single violinist to perform possibly the worst rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner I hope to ever hear. We all just stood completely baffled that this guy had ever made it as a musician.

Aside from that, beer, food, foam fingers and a raucous crowd made for a lot if fun. About 20 of us had booked out two rows right at the top of the stadium with very little idea between us of what was actually going on. But it's definitely something I'd recommend and hope to do again.

NYC Bucket List
1. See a local basketball team - done

Myself, Aisha, Aimie and Louise. And yes, I had the foam finger on backwards :(
