Death in my garden

The blackbird has been happily feeding all winter in our garden.
Our breakfast was ruined by the sparrow hawk .He shot down onto the poor bird and proceeded to pluck out its feathers one by one on the lawn.
It's not a brilliant photo. I had to take it from the bedroom window so as not to disturb the executioner.I hope you're not too squeamish!
