Plum Blossoms

Though our ornamental cherries are not in bloom yet, the edible plums, cherries, and apples are filling the gap with their blossoms. There is double delight in seeing these (and the little bumbling bees that attend to them) as we can anticipate the fruit that will fill our baskets later in the summer. These are the flowers of the tasty yellow fleshed plum ‘Imperial Epineuse’ from the prune growing region of France pictured against our grey evening sky.
