Happy spring, everyone!
It was dry for the first time in days and days and I actually got out into the garden. It has been mild and wet and the plants are revving up and as soon as the sun comes out, they'll be shooting all over the place. While weeding, I came across several peony seedlings. The peony spreads seedlings every year and I've run out of places to transplant them. The flower is a beautiful deep pink, a big double. So I'll leave the seedlings where they are, and have lots of big pink flowers in the border.
Spring is an exciting time!
Tom and Emma are coming for a visit tomorrow and I had planned to make a quiche for them, but I ran out of energy after all the weeding, so they'll get bread and cheese instead. I didn't even get out to the shops to buy a cake for them. Too much work to do in the garden.
