Tadpoles!

Today was a staying in sort of day. That's a good thing as we noticed after lunch that Monkey had developed some bumps on his body. He's recently been exposed to Chickenpox and Hand Foot and Mouth so now we're on spot-watch to find out what it is. The strange thing is he actually seems to be feeling a lot better.

Here the kids are checking out our new little critters. They have mostly all hatched now and are swimming around their new digs. We have so many of them this time.

Monkey got a haircut this morning which inspired Chickpea- she wants her hair cut like his now!

We had some funny conversations this morning. Chickpea wanted a biscuit for breakfast but I was trying to explain that we need foods that give us vitamins and minerals and was telling her what some vitamins did to help our bodies and which foods had them. She then said, "What vitamin helps keep our hair out of our eyes when we sleep?"

Then, a few moments later, still discussing the body, "My favourite place in my body is my heart. I don't like bones because they're not squishy."

Monkey's gem of the day- trying to tell the story of "Jack and the Beanstalk" in the car- "Fee Fe Fo Fum, I can smell a stinky daddy!"
