An inspiring day

I was at a photography event today. Photography Lecturers and judges of photography competitions Chris Palmer and Margaret Salisbury were the guest speakers. Chris talked about landscape photography while Margaret talked about how to use the right paper for printing photos.

There were a number of workshops and demonstrations: Picasso vs Photoshop, Polar photography, Portrait photography, Mounting pictures, How to get the best out of your lighting, Motion Blur (Movement in the street), and How to prepare for a photo competition.

This photograph captures the demonstration that Helen gave on 'mounting pictures' at this event. I asked her if she had done a course on mounting. She said that she has learned all from her father (pointing to him as he was also there) and since she was 8 years old. Her passion and skills were awe-inspiring and she is a very pretty good-natured girl.

All in all, a very exciting and inspiring day.
