Planticrub
In several places on Shetland you will find small walled structures called planticrubs. These were built to provide shelter from the wind for young plants, mostly kale, that crofters were growing.
This is one of several planticrubs on Scat Ness.
This picture also gives a really misleading impression of the weather today. For most of the day not only did it fail the "Fair Isle test", it also failed the "Lady's Holm test", and for a while even failed the "Sea test".
