Mr Hilton entered his 10 mile forfeit ride today. Full details for horse lovers below. Anyway he had a mad day and was so very excited by all the other horses.

In summary, L was deposited in the mud after 4 miles but regained the saddle to complete 8 miles before a wild Mr H was withdrawn from the fray !

Mr H now back home and enjoying his favourite all time occupation – eating !
The Grand National looked tame compared to all of this !


Forfeit Ride Details – all events taken off the horse :
Forfeit One - at the start and after a huge breakfast – how many Maltezer sweets can the rider pick up and move into another dish using a drinking straw. The answer = none !
Forfeit Two – shoot a bow and arrow at a target to score points – not attempted as L was still trying to control the wild one !
Forfeit Three – move wooden balls down a large wooden tray to get them into a hole – again not attempted – the wild one still wild !
Forfeit Four – who knows – we never got there !
