Piquant
This is a sourdough. I had one once, but I eventually got lazy about feeding it and it died.
So now I'm getting withdrawal symptoms regarding proper bread (I grew up in Germany and am totally unable to view the stuff you get in the UK as proper bread) so I'm trying to raise another one.
I've been feeding it for the past five days, and today, it had doubled in size after under 12 hours, almost boiling out of the top of the jar. It's bubbling away like mad, smells earthy like a woodland after gentle rain, and tastes beautifully tangy.
So tangy in fact, that it prickles on the tongue.
So here's my photo for Word no.7, Piquant, meaning spicy or tangy.
And tomorrow, if my freshening up process has worked and the dough has doubled again, I can bake bread... I'm hoping it will be esculent :0)
