The New Old-Fashioned Tire Swing

This is still a favorite with the kids - although they were surprisingly absent on this sunny Saturday. For many years, the tire swing hung from a tree. and when the other playground equipment was replaced, there was a push to eliminate it. It became quite controversial, as only these things can when there is a homeowner's association. Ultimately, the kids prevailed and the swing remained, although with a much more stable support.
