A little piece of Formula One

Bahrain Grand Prix tomorrow. Formula One has started the year in tricky style, the new regulations are controversial, the 2014 cars look a bit odd and they don't sound quite right. But we'll be glued to the TV at 4 pm tomorrow anyway.

I have always had a passion for motorsport, and this odd-shaped chunk of carbon fibre is a prized possession that adorns my office. It is my own little piece of Formula One, a rear wing end plate from a 2011 Caterham F1 car. I bought it in a charity auction at a memorial dinner, in honour of an old friend whose son is an aerodynamicist with the team.
