Spring buds

I do love this time of year, when the trees start to show a green haze from the new shoots. The colours seem so fresh.

One of the benefits of living where I do is that I am within easy reach of open Hertfordshire countryside. It may not be dramatic like the mountains of Scotland, the hills of Snowdonia or the gorgeous views around Cumbria, but there is pleasant rolling countryside. If you can get away from the busy roads and the power lines, it can look very attractive. I don't find many wide vistas to photograph, but there are details in the villages, the churches and other buildings, and in the many wooded areas.
